Fool for love
Winning project of the ING UNSEEN Talent Award 2016, Public Award
My brother Ander, the main character in my project Bidean, has been on Erasmus in Lisbon. Nine years ago I went through the same so I knew he and his friends were about to experience something unrepeatable: a bubble of freedom between the end of their studies and their return to their home countries. Finding a parallelism between human ups and downs and the unstable cycles of nature, Fool for Love is based on those moments where you would want to stop time, those feelings you don’t want to let go of, or people you want to have around forever. In my project Bidean, I investigate the processes of change and human relationships. Taking adolescence as the epitome of change, I reflect on the elements that determine our development and shape our identity, just like the unstable cycles of nature.
